    Itinerary

    Day 1: Arrival

    Around 1 PM, all the guests will board the Oberoi Vessel Vrinda and start sailing along the main canal on the Vembanad Lake. Lunch will be served on board the cruise. After 4 hours of backwater cruise, return back to the Vembanad Lake to watch the sunset. In the evening, enjoy a spectacular Kathakali dance performance which will narrate the tales from Ramayana and Mahabharata. The vessel will be anchored at the Vembanad Lake jetty. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

    Day 2: On Board Vrinda, With A Rice Boat Excursion

    Early morning, at 7 AM, the Motor Vessel Vrinda will head South towards Alleppy. The breakfast will be served on board. After a few hours, the vessel will enter the rivulets of the Pamba river via Alleppy canal. The vessel will anchor nearby Kanjipadam following which guests will be transferred to a traditional rice boat to sail through the tapered sections of the backwaters. For the next few hours, guests will witness the unique lifestyle of this region through a guide. Here you will visit Lord Buddha’s half statue at Karumadi and a traditional Kerala family residence. Late in the day, guests will be served lunch while the boat passes through the scenic backwater stretches en route Alleppy. The vessel will be anchored at the Vembanad Lake jetty. Dinner and overnight on board.

    Day 3: On Board Vrinda, With A Rice Boat Excursion

    Early morning, around 7 AM, the Motor Vessel Vrinda will start sailing towards South, past Kanjippadam. The vessel will anchor nearby Chambakulam. From here onwards, guests will board a rice boat for a sightseeing tour before lunch. The tourist attractions that you will visit includes St. Mary’s Church and Sree Bhagavathy Kshetram at Nedumudy. Thereafter, guests will be taken on a guided trip to Chambakulam snake boat yard to witness the long snake boats used in races. After sailing through the backwaters, in the afternoon, the vessel will return back to Vembanad Lake. After returning back, guests will enjoy a traditional “Mohiniattam” dance performance on board. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

    Day 4: Departure

    Next morning while enjoying a lavish breakfast, enjoy the picturesque views while this Motor Vessel Vrinda sails towards North along the main waterway channel on the alluring Vembanad Lake and later head in the south direction, after passing Pallathurathy. On reaching Vembanad Lake disembark from the cruise from where you will be escorted to Cochin airport for your onward journey.
