    Itinerary

    Day 1: Chennai

    After reaching the Chennai airport, meet our representative who’ll escort you to one of our listed hotels. Check-in at the hotel and relax in the cozy comfort of its room. After lunch, proceed to explore the major tourist attractions of Chennai. The major tourist attractions scheduled for the day include Fort St. George, Kapaleeshwar temple and the National Art Gallery. In the evening visit Vivekananda House. After the visit return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 2: Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram

    After breakfast, proceed to visit the finest examples of ancient South Indian architecture - Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram temples. The major tourist attractions of Kanchipuram cover Kailasanthar temple, Ekambareshwarar temple, Vardarajanperumal temple and the Sakkiswarar temple. After the visit resume drive to Mahabalipuram to visit its rock-cut shore temples. Upon reaching Mahabalipuram, check-in at one of our listed hotels. After resting for a while proceed to explore the rock-cut shore temples of Mahabalipuram.  Enjoy overnight stay at the hotel.

    Day 3: Mahabalipuram

    Next day after breakfast embark on a sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram. The major tourist attractions of Mahabalipuram include Arjuna Penance, Tiger’s caves and the Five rathas temples. The Five Ratha temples are built in the same shape as pagodas, and greatly resemble Buddhist shrines and monasteries. After exploring the great sculptures spend the evening at leisure. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Mahabalipuram.

    Day 4: Mahabalipuram – Tanjore

    In the morning after breakfast, proceed to visit Tanjore city famous for its temples. Out of the 74 temples Brihadeshwara temple is the most famous temple. Enjoy full-day excursion to the famous Ranganath Temple. Also pay visit to the temples at Jambukeshwar and Srirangam. Later in the day, visit the Tanjore Royal Palace and the Nandi Bull. In the evening return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 5: Tanjore - Swamimalai

    Drive to Swamimalai which is at the distance of 36 Kms. from Tanjore. Upon reaching Tanjore, check-in at Sterling Resort. Welcome drink served on arrival.  Rest of day to be spend relaxing in the cozy comfort of its room. In the evening you may take a leisurely walk to explore the beauty of the resort to the fullest. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the resort.

    Day 6 to 10: Ayurvedic treatment at Swamimalai

    Day 11: Tanjore – Madurai

    Post breakfast, drive to Madurai, city famous for its Meenakshi Temple. En-route visit Trichy- the city located on the banks of river Kaveri. In the day explore Meenakshi Temple for its intricate design and beauty. Later in the day enjoy an excursion to Rameswaram holy sea. In the afternoon, visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace and the Gandhi Museum. Spend overnight at Madurai hotel.

    Day 12: Madurai

    Next morning after breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Madurai. The major tourist attractions of Madurai include Gandhi Museum, Alagar Koil, Mariamman Teppakulam and the Vaigai dam. In the evening visit the Thirumalai Nayak Palace and revisit Meenakshi temple to attend the prayer ceremonies at the temple. Retire for the night at the hotel.

    Day13: Madurai - Chennai by flight

    In the morning after breakfast, transfer to Madurai airport to board a flight to Chennai. Upon reaching Chennai, transfer to one of our listed hotels. Check-in at the hotel to take some rest for a while.  In the evening enjoy excursion at the beautiful Marina beach. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 14: Chennai Departure

    In the morning after breakfast, transfer to Chennai airport to board a flight for onward destinations.
